Baseball Recap: Millsap Has No Trouble Against Comanche

Millsap won against Comanche last Tuesday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. Millsap blew past Comanche 11-4. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won five matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Brandon Savage and Phillip Thibodeaux did most of the damage at the plate: Savage went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Thibodeaux scored two runs while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance also gave Thibodeaux a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Dawson Lynch, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Millsap was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The victory made it two in a row for Millsap and bumps their season record up to 7-9. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Comanche, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-9.

Coming up, Millsap will welcome Breckenridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Breckenridge will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Millsap surely won't give up without a fight.
