Even though the Paradise Honors Panthers scored an imposing 65 points on Wednesday, the Moon Valley Rockets still came out on top. Moon Valley secured a 70-65 W over Paradise Honors. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Moon Valley.
Moon Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Damion Miller-Coleman led the charge by going 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and 4 assists. Another player making a difference was Eddie Boone, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds.
Despite the loss, Paradise Honors saw an underclassman step up: Tj Harris scored 22 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Harris hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Dillan Mcclinton, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Even though they lost, Paradise Honors smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Moon Valley only pulled down 11 offensive rebounds.
Moon Valley is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season. As for Paradise Honors, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-11.
Moon Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Paradise Honors, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Salpointe Catholic at 7:00 p.m. Salpointe Catholic will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Paradise Honors surely won't give up without a fight.
