Oneonta is a perfect 8-0 against Chenango Valley since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Yellowjackets will head out to face off against the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. Oneonta is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.
Oneonta gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They put the hurt on Susquehanna Valley with a sharp 13-4 victory. The result was nothing new for the Yellowjackets, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Nolan Stark was incredible, firing off two home runs, three stolen bases, and five RBI while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. What's more, he posted three runs, the most he's had since back in April. Grayson Brockington also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Oneonta lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Chenango Valley came into Friday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They skirted past Seton Catholic Central 4-3. The game was the first time the Warriors have beaten the Saints on their field since May 6, 2023.
The team relied heavily on Johnny Paske, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. He has become a key player for Chenango Valley: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-9 otherwise. Cole Trebilcock was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
Oneonta's record now sits at 12-5. As for Chenango Valley, their record is now 7-10.
Chenango Valley's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Oneonta has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .451. It's a different story for Chenango Valley, though, as they've only averaged .333. Will they be able to contain Oneonta's hitters?
Oneonta came out on top in a nail-biter against Chenango Valley in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, sneaking past 4-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Yellowjackets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
