Konos Academy will be playing at home against the Creekside Christian Academy Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Konos Academy suffered their biggest defeat since November 17, 2023 on Saturday. They were dealt a 89-56 defeat at the hands of Calvary Christian. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Saturday (55), Konos Academy still had to take the loss.
The losing side was boosted by Aaron Cramer, who scored 23 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Joshua Knapp, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Creekside Christian Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 74-70 hit to the loss column at the hands of Victory Christian Center. While losing is never fun, Creekside Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 91st in Georgia, while Victory Christian Center is ranked 21st in North Carolina).
Konos Academy's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-8. As for Creekside Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8.
Konos Academy was taken down by Creekside Christian Academy 77-34 in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Konos Academy was down 35-15.
