The Sammamish RedHawks entered their tilt with the Evergreen Wolverines with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. Sammamish claimed a resounding 84-56 win over Evergreen at home. Sammamish has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 25 points or more this season.
Sammamish's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rakin Showki, who scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Barry Morrissette, who scored 16 points.
Sammamish's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.6 points per game. As for Evergreen, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.
Sammamish will head out on the road to take on Renton at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Renton knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 18 games -- so hopefully Sammamish likes a good challenge. As for Evergreen, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lindbergh at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
