The Philip Barbour Colts put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 67-22 victory over Midland Trail on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Philip Barbour has managed all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Philip Barbour to victory, but perhaps none more so than Braylyn Sparks , who scored nine points along with six assists and three steals. Those six assists set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Izzy Knotts, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Philip Barbour's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Midland Trail, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.
Philip Barbour won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Shady Spring at 6:15 p.m. on December 29th. Shady Spring comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Midland Trail, they will head out on the road to face off against Mercer Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Mercer Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 last Friday.
