The Heritage Christian Academy Patriots pushed their score all the way to 55 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a hard 71-55 fall against Ahoskie Christian. Heritage Christian Academy has struggled against Ahoskie Christian recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Several Patriots players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nimi Metiko, who scored 17 points. Metiko scored a full 30.9% of Heritage Christian Academy's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cody Buetow, who scored 14 points.
Heritage Christian Academy now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Ahoskie Christian, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.
Heritage Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Terra Ceia Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Terra Ceia Christian is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Ahoskie Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Calvary Baptist Church at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
