The Upland Highlanders/Scots are on the road again on Friday and plays the Mountain View Vikings on February 9th.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Upland had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 5-1 margin over the Eagles. Upland's offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.
They hit Brentwood School with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Drew Shoji (3),
Ryder Fierro, and
Nicholas Giron.
Meanwhile, Mountain View's last game on Wednesday was all defense as neither team scored a goal. Neither they nor Murrieta Valley could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.
Upland has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4-4 record this season. Mountain View's draw gives them a new season record of 13-11-2.
