The Dunedin Falcons suffered their biggest loss since December 4, 2023 on Tuesday. They were beaten by Gulf 65-16. Dunedin was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-9.
Dunedin lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Trinity Clincy, who scored five points along with four steals. Clincy hasn't dropped below two steals for nine straight games. Anna Patterson was another key contributor, scoring four points along with 11 rebounds.
Dunedin has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Gulf, their win bumped their record up to 7-9.
Dunedin will head out on the road to challenge Clearwater Central Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Clearwater Central Catholic has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games. As for Gulf, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Nature Coast Tech at 7:30 p.m. on January 18th.
