The Suitland Rams will be playing at home against the Einstein Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Suitland had no problem doing just that on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Kennedy 45-0 at home. Given Suitland's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland football rankings (they are ranked 80th, while Kennedy is ranked 217th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Suitland's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dehron Johnson led the charge by rushing for 55 yards and two touchdowns. Gregory Deloach was another key contributor, rushing for 80 yards and a touchdown on only five carries.
Meanwhile, Einstein never let their opponents score on Friday. They breezed by Northwood at home to the tune of 50-0. The win was just what Einstein needed coming off of a 38-6 defeat in their prior contest.
Suitland pushed their record up to 8-2 with that win, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33.67 points. As for Einstein, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.
