South Amboy is 0-8 against the Setters since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The South Amboy Governors will head out on the road to square off against the Mother Seton Setters at 4:00 p.m. South Amboy will be strutting in after a win while the Setters will be coming in after a loss.
South Amboy fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 39-27 victory over Middlesex County Vo-Tech on Friday.
Mother Seton has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 38-15 walloping at the hands of Dunellen on Friday. Mother Seton has not had much luck with the Destroyers recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
South Amboy's win bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Mother Seton, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-5.
South Amboy came up short against the Setters when the teams last played back in January, falling 33-20. Can South Amboy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
