The Moorcroft Wolves will head out on the road to face off against the Newcastle Dogies at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Moorcroft is hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Saturday, Moorcroft's game was all tied up 27-27 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. Everything went their way against Edgemont as Moorcroft made off with a 65-45 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Moorcroft has posted against Edgemont since February 4, 2017.
Meanwhile, Newcastle's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a hard 41-25 fall against Torrington. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Newcastle in their matchups with Torrington: they've now lost six in a row.
Moorcroft's victory bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Newcastle, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
Moorcroft beat Newcastle 61-52 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Moorcroft since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
