The Tipton Cardinals were the 60-53 winner over the Linn Wildcats when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Tipton fell to Linn 57-53.
Despite the loss, Tipton still got an impressive performance from Jackson Bailey, who scored 19 points along with three steals. Bailey scored a full 35.8% of Tipton's points, the seventh time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Zach Moon, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
Tipton's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Linn, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.
Tipton will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Russellville at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Russellville is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. Linn will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Chamois at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
