After having lost a blowout in their previous game against New Madrid County Central, South Pemiscot was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Naylor Eagles a 15-0 shutout. Considering the Bulldogs have won nine contests by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Phoenix Simmons made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Simmons was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season.
