The Evansville Central Bears will challenge the Castle Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Evansville Central sitting on three straight wins and Castle on seven.
Evansville Central had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Heritage Hills on Saturday. The Bears were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Patriots. The Bears not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 17th (when they won 13-0).
Hunter Broshears was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.
