The Port Neches-Groves Indians extended their postseason success on Friday against the Liberty Hill Panthers. They walked away with a 42-35 win over the Panthers. The win was nothing new for Port Neches-Groves as they're now sitting on 14 straight.
Port Neches-Groves' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Blair Chatagnier, who rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. Another player making a difference was Connor Bailey, who threw for 212 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per attempt.
Port Neches-Groves' win bumped their record up to 14-1. As for Liberty Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5.
Port Neches-Groves will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against South Oak Cliff at 11:00 a.m. on December 16th. South Oak Cliff knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 contests -- so hopefully Port Neches-Groves likes a good challenge. Liberty Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
