T.L. Hanna and Hillcrest are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2021, but likely not for long. The Yellow Jackets will take on the Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. T.L. Hanna will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
If T.L. Hanna beats Hillcrest with 12 runs on Thursday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. Everything went the Yellow Jackets' way against Mauldin on Tuesday as they made off with a 12-4 win. Considering the Yellow Jackets have won six games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Brooke Pratt 2026 and Harmony Harvey 2028 did most of the damage at the plate: Pratt 2026 went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Harvey 2028 went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI. Those three RBI gave Pratt 2026 a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Izzy Webb 2028, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
T.L. Hanna hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Hillcrest suffered their closest loss since March 15th on Tuesday. They fell just short of Greenwood by a score of 4-2. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Rams couldn't push the score so high this time.
Hillcrest saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tatum Lane, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
T.L. Hanna pushed their record up to 15-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Hillcrest, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.
Thursday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. T.L. Hanna hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .368. However, it's not like Hillcrest struggles in that department as they've averaged .322. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
T.L. Hanna was able to grind out a solid victory over Hillcrest in their previous matchup back in March, winning 11-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Yellow Jackets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
