Wil Wilson was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with four steals for Palm Desert. Jecorey Jones was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
La Quinta has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 15 of their last 16 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-19 record this season. As for Palm Desert, they pushed their record up to 21-4 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. La Quinta will take on Palm Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Palm Springs is coming into the match hot, having won their last 12 games. As for Palm Desert, they will head out on the road to challenge Rancho Mirage at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Rancho Mirage is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
