Douglass won the last time they faced Central, and things went their way on Saturday, too. Douglass took the game and then some with a 42-0 victory over Central. The team accrued the bulk of their points in the first half (36) and coasted on those for the win.
Junior Malik Pettaway, who threw 2 TDs and picked up 31 yards on the ground, was a major factor in Douglass's success. Senior Robert Morgan was in the mix, too, providing Douglass with 2 touchdowns. The contest pushed Central down to 0-2 and pulled Douglass up to the reverse at 2-0.
Next week Douglass take on Potomac at 2:00 PM. Central will be staying on the road, facing off against High Point.
