J.S. Clark and Lusher take on one another this Thursday at 7:00 PM on J.S. Clark's home turf. J.S. Clark is hoping to get its first win of the year.
J.S. Clark was close but no cigar, losing to KIPP Renaissance last week 24 - 22. The outcome was a nice jolt of excitement for J.S. Clark after its previous game, where the margin was anything but close.
As for Lusher, it was outplayed 49 - 14 in its contest against Lutcher last week. The team got a solid performance out of senior quarterback Eli Poche (he threw for 192 yards); unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the win. Poche has been a consistent playmaker for Lusher as this was the 4th good game in a row from him.
After their losses, Lusher dropped to 4-5 and J.S. Clark dropped to 0-9. Both Lusher and J.S. Clark have been struggling on the defensive side of the ball (the former allowing an average of 27.11 points per game, the latter an average of 35.78 points per game). We'll find out which offense can take advantage of this fact when the two teams meet this week.
