The Maimonides M-Cats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Sunday after their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 72-38 loss at the hands of Ursuline Academy. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Maimonides in their matchups with Ursuline Academy: they've now lost three in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Maimonides lost, one person who can't be blamed is Leah Kaplan. Despite the final result, she scored 20 points. That was a full 52.6% of Maimonides' points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Maimonides' loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-8. As for Ursuline Academy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.
Maimonides does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ursuline Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Notre Dame Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
