If the Priest River Spartans were riding high off their 60-28 takedown of the Newport Grizzlies last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Priest River had to suffer through a rough 61-31 loss at the hands of Kellogg. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Priest River has suffered against Kellogg since February 9, 2021.
It was another big night for Macy Jerome, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds and six steals for Kellogg. Emily Coe was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Priest River has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Kellogg, their win bumped their record up to 10-8.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing St. Maries the next time they take the court. Priest River will head out to face St. Maries at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while Kellogg will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
