The Pisgah Bears stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 70-47 margin over Franklin. Winning may never get old, but Pisgah sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Dot Mills was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Chandler Lowery, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Franklin's loss came despite strong showings from Cali Queen and Avery Moffitt. Queen scored 23 points along with five steals, while Moffitt dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds. Queen hasn't dropped below 16 points for three straight games.
Pisgah has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Franklin, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pisgah will take on the Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. West Henderson has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 313 points over their last five contests. As for Franklin, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Knights at 6:30 p.m. North Henderson will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 506th, while the Panthers are ranked 218th).
