The Southland Rebels will be playing at home against the Lanesboro Burros at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Southland is out to stop a 13-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.
Last Tuesday, Southland was beaten by the Hurricanes 56-29. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Southland in their matchups with the Hurricanes: they've now lost six in a row.
Meanwhile, Lanesboro came into Tuesday's game having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Lyle/Pacelli 54-24 at home. The victory was just what Lanesboro needed coming off of a 74-37 loss in their prior contest.
Southland's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Lanesboro, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-11.
