There's no place like home for Manitou Springs, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Thursday. They walked away with  a   3-1  victory over the La Junta Tigers  on Saturday. For the Mustangs, this counts as revenge for the   3-1 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in November of 2024.
 Manitou Springs had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-13, 26-24,  25-20.
 Aleia McBride paced Manitou Springs' offense, picking up 13 kills. McBride got some help from  Natalie Gore and her 27 assists.
 Despite the  defeat, La Junta saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Mia Whatley  had 16  digs and two  aces.
Manitou Springs' victory bumped their record up to 10-13. As for La Junta, their loss  ended  a  four-match streak of away wins  and  brought them to 12-11.
As of now, neither Manitou Springs nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
