Lake Wales won the last time they faced Davenport and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Lake Wales Highlanders blew past the Davenport Broncos 48-8. The Highlanders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lake Wales to victory, but perhaps none more so than Keyanna Burgess, who posted eight points in addition to eight boards and three steals. That's the most steals Burgess has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Vanessa Squire, who earned 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Lake Wales has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.2 points per game. As for Davenport, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Lake Wales didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-0 win against Kathleen on the 23rd. Davenport has also already played their next contest, a 39-36 victory against Lakeland Christian on the 24th.
