Red Bud waltzed into their contest on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Chester Yellowjackets a 2-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 17-0 last Tuesday.

Red Bud saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Ruebusch, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Red Bud pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Chester, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Red Bud will venture away from home to face off against Columbia at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Chester, they will head out to square off against Wesclin at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
