Treutlen dropped to 11-3 on Tuesday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins at home. They fell 8-3 to the Telfair County Trojans. The Vikings were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Trojans earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Ella Roberson put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and five unearned) runs off 11 hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.
Roberson wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kaylyn Kight, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Maya Brinson was another, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
As for Telfair County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games.
On Telfair County's side, Lylah Cate Jones spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on six hits.
On the hitting side, Perry Grace DeLoach was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Nala Parsons, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Treutlen is set to square off against their familiar foe Montgomery County at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Telfair County will take on rival Hawkinsville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
