Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Collinsville). They never let the Cahokia Comanches get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory on Monday. Ali Vieluf was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, Preslie Thomas was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Audrey Shemwell was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
