They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat J.Z. George 58-28 on the road. Given West Tallahatchie's advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 99th, while J.Z. George is ranked 279th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
West Tallahatchie found their leader in underclassman Cavorgie Robinson, who scored 16 points. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Lavoriontaye Willis, who scored ten points.
The victory (which was West Tallahatchie's fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for J.Z. George, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
West Tallahatchie will be home for the holidays to greet Palmer at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Palmer is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for J.Z. George, they will challenge South Delta at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. South Delta has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 583 points over their last nine matches.
