The Pikesville Panthers will face off against the Parkville Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Pikesville's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Eastern Tech with a sharp 8-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

William Holaday was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kairee Williams, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Parkville made easy work of Lansdowne on Thursday and carried off a 12-2 victory. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won four in a row.
Brian Crispin De La Cruz was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Weston Brine, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Aiden Collins, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Pikesville's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-6. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Parkville, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.
Both Pikesville and Parkville just can't seem to miss. The Panthers have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.1 hits per game. However, it's not like Parkville struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.3 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Pikesville couldn't quite finish off Parkville in their previous meeting back in April of 2023 and fell 3-1. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
