A Season-Best Effort from Creyo Koop Leads West Elk over Cedar Vale/Dexter
On Friday, West Elk got the W thanks in part to Creyo Koop playing the best football he has all season. Koop wasn't messing around, picking up 148 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 92 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. The contest was his fifth straight with two or more rushing touchdowns dating back to last season. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making six total tackles in addition to snagging an interception which he returned for a touchdown.
If the past is any indication, Koop could be in store for another big game when he takes on Sedan on Friday. Koop rushed for 189 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.9 yards per carry, and also picked up 99 receiving yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Devils duked it out back in September of 2023.
