Tatum had won two straight home games and Avery Henard did her part to make it three on Thursday. The Coyotes put the hurt on the Jal Panthers with a sharp 3-0 win with plenty of help from Henard, who had 13 kills, 12 digs, and two aces. She has been hot, having posted eight or more kills the last six times she's played.

Tatum never let Jal on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-18, 26-24.

Tatum's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sydni Rice led the charge by getting eight kills, five digs, and one block. Allison Dixon was another key player, getting nine digs and one block.

Tatum's record is now 10-5. As for Jal, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.

Tatum wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Hagerman on the 14th. As for Jal, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Dexter on the 13th.
