Geoffrey Creighton Lefevre Goes Supernova in Vela Win
Geoffrey Creighton Lefevre's big game helped extend Vela's winning streak to six on Friday. Juarez-Lincoln had no answer to Creighton Lefevre as he threw for 207 yards and four touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes.
Vela pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. Creighton Lefevre and Vela will square off against Rowe at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Jp Garza's Rushing Yards a New Career-High
Jp Garza posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 166 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.9 yards per carry.
The win was the third in a row for McAllen Memorial, bringing their record for this year to 5-1. Garza and McAllen Memorial will be playing in front of their home fans against Juarez-Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Jonathan Flores was instrumental in extending Vela's winning streak to six on Friday. Flores did his part (and then some), rushing for 135 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries for the 'W'. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 131 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Flores must have Juarez-Lincoln's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. When Flores last faced the Huskies back in October of 2023, he rushed for 244 yards and five touchdowns on only 12 carries.

Botello Posts Huge Game in 27-7 Win
Adrian Botello's big game helped extend Rowe's winning streak to three on Friday. Rio Grande City had no answer to Botello as he threw for 161 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 46 yards.
On the year, Botello has thrown 8 touchdowns while averaging 105 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had one rushing touchdown. This year he is already up to three.

Kane Coy Makes It Two for Mcallen Memorial
The second McAllen Memorial player making an appearance here is Kane Coy, and for good reason. He rushed for 49 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 90 yards and a touchdown on only five passes.
