Katie Jaques was Front Range Baptist's leading scorer, having posted five points.
Hadyn Woods held things down on the boards with nine rebounds. Woods took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.
Gilpin County's win on Thursday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from FAITH RAMSEY, who scored 8 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals. ELISE VINCENT was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 5 rebounds.
Front Range Baptist's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Gilpin County, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Front Range Baptist will square off against Briggsdale at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Gilpin County, they will head out on the road to face off against West Grand at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
