On Wednesday, Wickliffe made easy work of Berkshire and carried off an 11-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Blue Devils, who have now won five matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Nunzio Zivnoska made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out 17 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Those 17 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Cole Vanatta was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Dominic Porcello also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Wickliffe always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Berkshire only posted an OBP of .250.
Meanwhile, North Olmsted got the win against Lorain on Thursday by a conclusive 11-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.
Tyler Zatta spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up 15 Ks.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Luke Healan, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base. Darren Krider was another key player, going 1-for-5 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Wickliffe's record is now 7-3. As for North Olmsted, their record now sits at 4-5.
North Olmsted's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Wickliffe hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .348.
