Redlands East Valley has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against Yucaipa at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Last Friday, Redlands East Valley narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Cajon 2-1.
Redlands East Valley was led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Cruz Navarro and
Matthew Thorig, who scored.
Meanwhile, neither Yucaipa nor Beaumont could gain the upper hand on Friday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.
Redlands East Valley is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3-2 record this season. As for Yucaipa, their draw moved theirs to 6-7-4.
Redlands East Valley was able to grind out a solid win over Yucaipa in their previous meeting on January 5th, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Redlands East Valley since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
