The Evans Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Effingham County Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Evans will be strutting in after a win while Effingham County will be coming in after a loss.
Last Friday, Evans' game was all tied up 2-2 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 4-2 victory over Glynn Academy. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Evans.
They hit Glynn Academy with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Carson Whitener (2),
Calvin Dent, and
Jeremiah Sturkey.
Meanwhile, Effingham County was the victim of a tough 4-1 loss at the hands of Calvary Day on Saturday. Effingham County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Evans' win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Effingham County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2-1.
Evans skirted past Effingham County 1-0 when the teams last played back in March of 2023. Will Evans repeat their success, or does Effingham County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
