The Ramsey Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They lost to Dieterich on the road by a decisive 46-31 margin. Ramsey lost against Dieterich in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 44-14 score last time.
Despite the loss, Ramsey still got an impressive performance from Kelsey Hayes, who scored 7 points along with 9 rebounds. Hayes has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lola Johnson, who scored 8 points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dieterich to victory, but perhaps none more so than Miley Britton, who scored 14 points along with 4 steals. The match was Britton's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Ruby Westendorf was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 steals.
The last time Ramsey won on the road was back on Friday. Having now lost four straight away matches, they've bumped their record down to 1-4. As for Dieterich, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2.
Ramsey is on the road again on Saturday and play against Red Hill at 11:00 a.m. on November 25th. As for Dieterich, they will square off against Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
