Basketball Game Preview: Northside Christian Academy Crusaders vs. Ben Lippen Falcons

Northside Christian Academy and Ben Lippen are an even 5-5 against one another since November of 2016, but not for long. The Northside Christian Academy Crusaders will face off against the Ben Lippen Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northside Christian Academy is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Last Tuesday, Northside Christian Academy strolled past Augusta Christian with points to spare, taking the game 49-34. Given the Crusaders' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 34th in South Carolina, while the Lions are ranked 98th in Georgia), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Evie Godfrey continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 21 points and eight steals. Her evening made it ten games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Chaelyn Tifre, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.

Meanwhile, Ben Lippen unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 36-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of Augusta Christian.

Northside Christian Academy pushed their record up to 15-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.0 points per game. As for Ben Lippen, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.

Northside Christian Academy lost to Ben Lippen on the road by a decisive 43-29 margin when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Can Northside Christian Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
