The Southside Christian Warriors suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They were outmatched by Living Water Christian on the road and fell 76-47. Southside Christian just can't catch a break and has now endured three losses in a row.
Despite the loss, Southside Christian still got an impressive performance from Luke Boush, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 17 rebounds. That was a full 48.9% of Southside Christian's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Ethan Evans was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six steals.
Living Water Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Emmanuel Nicolas out in front who scored 20 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Bo Koebbe, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds.
Southside Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Living Water Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-9 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southside Christian will take on Hilltop Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Hilltop Christian will be looking to extend their current 15-game winning streak.
