It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Moody Blue Devils can now relate to. They took a 40-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams on Friday. Moody's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Moody's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Charlie Johnston, who threw for 261 yards and three touchdowns. Ka'darius Barnes was another key contributor, picking up 61 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Kameron Keenan had an outrageously good game for Ramsay as he threw for 245 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.7 yards per attempt, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. Another player making a difference was Ashton Ashford, who gained 143 total yards.
Moody's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Ramsay, the last time they lost on the road was back back in September of 2022. Having now won nine straight away matchups, they've pushed their record up to 11-2.
Moody does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Ramsay will take on Guntersville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Guntersville: 12.3, Ramsay: 11.2) so any points scored will be well earned.
