Dixie had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Sky View Bobcats by a score of 9-6. The win was some much needed relief for the Flyers as it spelled an end to their ten-game losing streak dating back to last season.

The team relied heavily on Chesney Robbins, who went 1-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.

Dixie always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sky View only posted an OBP of .471.

Dixie didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 17-2 loss against Cedar Valley on the 6th. As for Sky View, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 13-4 victory against South Summit on the 6th.
