Basketball Recap: Appling Christian Academy Piles Up the Points Against Lighthouse Christian

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Appling Christian Academy). They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat Lighthouse Christian 75-36. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Appling Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Jaden Drake, who went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc on his way to 26 points. The game was Drake's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Kade Harvey was another key player, going 7 for 10 on his way to 16 points.

Appling Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 13 consecutive contests dating back to last season.
