Softball Recap: Grayville Takes a Loss

Grayville lost against Odin/Patoka/Sandoval back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bison took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Bison have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Emily Renshaw spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on nine hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Ava Kleinschmidt made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Grayville's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-4. As for Odin/Patoka/Sandoval, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6.

Grayville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 10-5 defeat against Wayne City on the 10th. As for Odin/Patoka/Sandoval, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-3 loss against Waltonville on the 10th.
