Basketball Recap: Chatfield Beats Dover-Eyota for Their Fourth Straight Win

Chatfield had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Dover-Eyota Eagles as they made off with a 70-50 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 75-64 back in January.

Despite the loss, Dover-Eyota saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Mat Matejka posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Jace Drilling, who earned nine points.

Chatfield's victory bumped their record up to 12-14. As for Dover-Eyota, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 16 of their last 17 games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-20 record this season.

Coming up, Chatfield will venture away from home to challenge St. Charles at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Dover-Eyota, they will welcome Albert Lea at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Dover-Eyota is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.3 points per game this season.
