Palma had won eight straight games and Eli Dukes did his part to make it nine on Friday. The Chieftains walked away with a 28-21 win over the Soquel Knights with plenty of help from Dukes, who rushed for 225 yards and three touchdowns, and also caught one TD. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 51 yards.

Soquel's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Rowen Gonsiewski, who threw for 189 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 84.6% of his passes, and Hudson Summerrill, who picked up 144 receiving yards and one score.

Palma's record now sits at 9-0. As for Soquel, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 8-1.
