Wade Hampton was the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. Everything went their way against Allendale-Fairfax last Friday as they made off with a 42-14 win. The margin was wide but not a surprise since Wade Hampton are ranked far ahead of Allendale-Fairfax in the MaxPreps rankings.
Meanwhile, Estill couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They found themselves the relunctant recipients of an unpleasant 0-29 punch to the gut against Ridgeland/Hardeeville last week. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Estill was outplayed in the second half.
Wade Hampton's victory lifted them to 2-0 while Estill's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Wade Hampton can add another positive mark to their record or if Estill can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Wade Hampton's step.
