The Ocala Christian Crusaders lost against the Belleview Rattlers back in December of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Ocala Christian was beaten by Belleview 63-23. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Ocala Christian in their matchups with Belleview: they've now lost nine in a row.
Ocala Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rodney Paz, who scored 14 points. Paz scored a full 60.9% of Ocala Christian's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Ocala Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Belleview, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ocala Christian will take on St. John Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully St. John Lutheran focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Tuesday. Belleview won't have much time to rest: their next game is against North Marion at 7:30 p.m. on November 28th.
