The Murray County Indians will head out on the road to challenge the North Murray Mountaineers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Murray County was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 57-51 to the Rebels.
Meanwhile, North Murray pushed their score all the way to 75 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 79-75 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rockmart. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (69), North Murray still had to take the loss.
Murray County's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for North Murray, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-5.
Murray County didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against the Mountaineers in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 51-46 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Murray County since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
